To Tsai Church
75 Hollywood Road
When Dr Sun Yat-sen was studying medicine in Hong Kong, he lived in the lodgings at the College of Medicine for Chinese, Hongkong (i.e. Alice Memorial Hospital). Dr Sun often attended the gatherings held by the To Tsai Church next door to the hospital, and it was here that he established the interpersonal network that later provided support for his revolutionary cause. Both the Alice Memorial Hospital and the To Tsai Church were founded by the London Missionary Society to help the local Chinese by healing their bodies and saving their souls.
